Catholic Academies

Many schools throughout the country are in the process of becoming academies. The Catholic schools in our own Diocese of Leeds have been given permission to consider conversion to Academies. 16 schools in the Keighley and Bradford area have consulted formally on becoming a Catholic Multi-Academy Trust (CMAT). There are 3 schools in the Keighley area which have now applied to the diocese to become academies, these schools are St. Anne's, Our Lady of Victories and The Holy Family School.

We believe that there will be many benefits to becoming part of this Trust. We are sure that it would strengthen our Catholic vision and enable us to pool our resources and make many savings which can go towards improving your child’s education.

The Blessed Christopher Wharton Catholic Multi Academy Trust

On July 1st 2014 OLV and St Anne's Primary schools became the first members of The Blessed Christopher Wharton Catholic Multi Academy Trust. We hope many other Bradford and Keighley Catholic schools will follow us in joining this exciting development of VA schools.
