Welcome to the Faith Council 2023/24
We meet regularly to discuss ways we can live out our school mission this year - With Christ in our hearts, we live life to the full. We take an active part in the planning and delivery of whole school worships. This year, we will be monitoring and evaluating worships across the school and then we will give feed back. Minutes of meetings
On Tuesday 2nd October, we visited the Good Shepherd Centre's Luncheon Club, to support with making drinks and serving dinners. We made conversation with the people who were visiting and then sang for them at the end! We are a school of mission - God asks us to serve others. One of the Faith Council commented afterwards, "It was like The Feeding of the 5000!".
On Thursday 5th October, we started our monitoring of Collective Worships. Two of us visited Year 1 and were thinking about what we could hear, see and feel. Then we came together to discuss what we found.
18th October 2023
Today we met to plan the whole school worships for our next virtue - Hope. We look forward to leading these alongside Mr Booth next half term.
20th October 2023
Last week we organised a Harvest Collection for one of our chosen charities - the Salvation Army in Keighley. We asked our school families to bring in tinned food as well as toiletries and items for babies - which would then be given to families in need who live in our local community. Today we said thank you to everyone for their generosity and kindness, coming together to serve others just as God wants us to do.
On Wednesday 29th November, all of the schools in the Blessed Christopher Wharton Trust gathered to celebrate Mass together. Two children from the Faith Council represented all of the children in our school, carrying our St Anne's banner alongside children from all of the other Trust schools.
On Friday 5th January, we led a whole school worship based on our school mission 'With Christ in our Hearts, we live life to the full'. We reminded the school which Bible reading our mission comes from and introduced our new school virtues for this year. See the slides we used below the photos.
